CHANGE - L'AQUILA 2017

Since April 2017
Corso Vittorio Emanuele 35, L'Aquila
curated by Veronica Santi

I'm one of the 22 selected artists for 'Change' the interational award, organised by the association Off Site Art in collaboration with the New York organisation ArtBridge.

The artworks of the selected artits - inspired by the theme of changement - are printed in large format on pvc and installed on the scaffoldings of the buildings under reconstruction in L'Aquila.

The jury, composed by Malin Fezehai (Newsyorker photographer and filmaker), Valerio Bindi (director of the comic festival Crack!) and Ian Alteveer (associated curator of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Metropolitan Museum di New York), has choosen 22 artists, between the 350 that have taken part to the call for art.

On the scaffoldings are installed an artwork of mine of the series 'Ancestors' (Antenati) and one of the series 'à rebours', created with the photographer Valerio Donghi.
Here the link to 'my' large scale artworks, installed in Corso Vittorio Emanuele 35 in L'Aquila.

During the Italy’s presidency semester of the European Union, the Banca Monte Paschi Belgio presents the exhibition ‘Overlapping – Luoghi’ of Valerio Donghi and Laura Manfredi. On show in the head office in Rue Joseph II, 24 (1000 Bruxelles), from Monday 3rd to Thursday 27th November 2014 (open Mon - Fri, from 9.00 to 16.00), about 15 photos and works on papers of the italian artists. The artists will be present in the exhibition space on Friday the 28th November 2014 from 10.00 to 12.00.

‘Overlapping – Luoghi’ is an exhibition about different italian places and non-lieux , that have inspired and touched the artists, somehow. The subjets of the exhibition – landscapes, architectural perspective, interiors where styles and influences are overlapped – are connected through a fil rouge, creating an imaginery Italian Place. On display some pictures of the 'à rebours' series by Valerio Donghi and Laura Manfredi and about 10 monoprints – artworks on paper - of Laura Manfredi.

WOMADE #5 - MILAN 2013

WOMADE #5 image - 26th January 2013, Milan

WOMADE #5

26th January 2013
10 pm - 04 am
Chiostri di San Barnaba
Sala degli affreschi
via San Barnaba 48, Milan

On Saturday the 26th of January 2013, the 'creativity melting-pot' of WOMADE is taking place in Milan, in Chiostri di San Barnaba.

The mission of Womade is to tell and build stories about the Creativity's World. The event involves about 20 artists of different disciplines (art, performance, photography, graphic, music, fashion, design) and art lovers, or simply curious people.

I exhibit my monoprints and I create a site specific installation. On show there are the works made with the photographer Valerio Donghi too. These are some works of the 'à rebours project', where photography and digital drawing are mixed and overlapped.

The XV Century Sala degli Affreschi is the location for this event: a long night with photography, illustration, fashion design, videos, live painting and music, in a non stop crescendo.

The invitation card of Laura Manfredi and Valerio Donghi
