Quattordici artisti senza confini sono stati chiamati ad esporre due libri d’artista ciascuno. Ogni libro si apre sul mondo della creatività e della fantasia: come in uno scrigno, una volta aperto, scorrono le incisioni. Opere fatte da uomini, torchiate, pressate e schiacciate, utilizzando tecniche come l’incisione in tutte le sue declinazioni, dalla xilografia alla calcografia alla litografia, si affiancano a lavori nati da errori della matrice partorita dall’intelligenza artificiale, dove è la memoria cibernetica a decidere cosa e come produrre, relegando l’artista al ruolo di spettatore. Sono strade tecnicamente e concettualmente diverse che si muovono però nella stessa direzione, ossia quella di produrre un “oggetto artistico” e che, variando nell’operare, rimangono, volutamente, fedeli alla propria storia artistica. La mostra itinerante porterà in vari luoghi esperienze che ci aiutano a riflettere non soltanto sullo stato dell’arte, ma sul ruolo e sulla funzione dell’arte oggi e domani.

Fourteen artists have been invited to exhibit two artist books each. Each book opens the doors on a creativity and fantasy world. Like in a casket, when it's open, the hand-pulled prints appear. Artworks created and pulled by 'humans' printmaker (using woodcut, intaglio, lithography and so on) are on show. But in some of them the matrix-plate is just an 'error' of an artificial intelligence, that the artist chooses to use. Two different ways of working, with the same aim: to produce an art object that represents the artistic path of the artist. The exhibition (that will be on tour in Italy) is a reflection on the situation, role and funktion of art; nowadays and tomorrow.
